Plainfield Skyhoundz Canine Frisbee

June 9, 2002 -  Seidler Field, Plainfield, New Jersey....... Plainfield is the location of the first competition I ever entered and is still one of my favorites.   There were plenty of competitors and spectators alike.  It's nice to have a field with bleachers for the spectators.  If only there were some trees for shade.  It was a pretty warm day and thankfully there was a nice water hose that we could use to cool off.

In addition to seeing a lot of my frisbee catching friends, Tess, Tali, Whiplash, Bubka, Cinnamon and more, I had a chance to meet my new Internet Labrador pen pals, Annie and Diego.   In fact, it was Annie & Diego who sent me the pictures on the left and below on the right of me competing at the event.  Look how big my teeth are on the picture below.  I was pretty intense that day.  Somehow I managed to get my first win at Plainfield after coming close a few times but never pulling it off.  It must have been because my new Lab friends Annie and Diego came to cheer me on.  Thanks guys!

As I was entering the results I noticed that there were more Labs competing in Plainfield than Border Collies.  That must be one for Ripley's "Believe it or Not"!

A special thanks to Paul Klimuc who puts on a very organized competition.  Also,  thanks to the Plainfield Parks Department for providing the field and water....it was a very warm day!

Come on out to see us competing in Plainfield again next year.  It's usually held the first or second Sunday in June.
